Located in the Big Cypress Seminole Indian reservation, the Junior Cypress Entertainment Complex is a state of the art facility with a newly renovated rodeo arena which sits about 3,000 people and modern stables with room for 86 horses. The facility is open to Tribal activities as well as outside events such as music concerts, festivals, rodeos, tractor pulls and any other event that can be held at this venue.
Surrounding and complimenting this modern complex, are 360 acres of land that is available for large outside music festivals, concerts and other events requiring an open area. The Big Cypress Reservation also offers a variety of other entertainment and cultural experiences such as the wonderful and modern Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki museum, an educational facility describing the rich and colorful history of the Seminoles as well as a large collection of artifacts, clothes, art and traditional arts and crafts. Billie Swamp Safari, a wildlife park with a collection of both native and exotic animals from all over the world viewed from the comfort and safety of a "Swamp buggy".
There is also an airboat ride available, that skims through the grasses and waters of the park so that the visitors can experience wild alligators, wading birds and the multiplicity of other plants and animals that are native to the area. In addition, visitors can enjoy the Swamp Water Café, a native restaurant offering both native and non-native fares. Try a bit of alligator tail, frog legs or a juicy hamburger.
